Through six major technical improvements, all issues with the first-generation product were successfully resolved, leading to a comprehensive enhancement of product performance.

Project Background

Our first-generation product design encountered six major issues in customer applications: signal coupling, damage during OCP testing, low-temperature startup failure, inability to release panel charge after shutdown, inability to function properly after recovering to normal temperature from high temperature, and OCP failing to activate when the panel refresh rate was increased.

In response to these issues, the R&D team conducted systematic analysis and improvements. By optimizing circuit design, refining control logic, adjusting startup curves, and implementing various other technical measures, all problems were successfully resolved.

OCP Detection Time Optimization

Reduced the original detection time from 31 frames to 4 frames, significantly improving response speed. Achieved fast and accurate overcurrent protection through optimized logic control circuits.

RST Output Restriction

During Power On Blanking Time, RST must not output, and there is no timing requirement between STV and RST, simplifying the timing control of system startup.

Low-Temperature Startup Optimization

Optimized startup voltage/current curves and modified circuit structure to change V/I characteristics, ensuring reliable startup in low-temperature environments.

Reduced OCP Identification Time

Single-cycle detection identification time was reduced from 9+2μs to 5+2μs. Increased identification speed through feedback mechanisms to prevent detection failure during high refresh rate driving.

Charge Release Mechanism Improvement

After VIN triggers UVLO, the GOA signal follows VGH (high level). Multiple logic gates are used to control the high/low status of the signal, ensuring normal charge release.

OTP Auto-Recovery Function

After high temperature triggers OTP, the device automatically restarts once the temperature drops. Achieved intelligent temperature protection and recovery through changes in hysteresis processing logic.

Project Background

Our operational amplifier products play a critical role in customer applications by providing reverse compensation and voltage regulation. The second-generation design focused on cost reduction while retaining original functionalities. By optimizing the layout and circuit architecture, we successfully reduced the chip area by 49%, significantly lowering production costs.

Area Optimization

By simplifying and improving the original architecture, while retaining ESD protection devices, the chip size was reduced from 1100mm × 740mm to 600mm × 700mm, achieving a 49% area reduction.

Compensation Effect Optimization

The change in circuit architecture (Class AB → Class A) reduced the chip's slew rate, improving stability and minimizing oscillation. Although the up-and-down slew rates are inconsistent, it can accurately adapt to customer circuits and perform reverse compensation.

Application Effect

The circuit compensation in customer applications eliminated unnecessary white light, significantly improving the display effect and greatly enhancing customer satisfaction.

Customer Issue Resolution Process

We have established a rigorous customer issue resolution mechanism to ensure all issues are responded to and resolved quickly and professionally. Issues are classified into two major categories: functional defects and non-functional defects, which are primarily handled by the FAE team and the Quality team, respectively, with guaranteed full-process efficiency.

Day 1: Issue Reception & Confirmation

Upon receiving feedback from client R&D, quality, or assembly plants, the FAE or Quality team immediately conducts on-site confirmation and collects complete defect information and samples.

Day 2: Sample Shipment & Preliminary Analysis

The FAE ships the defective product to the manufacturer for professional analysis, while the Quality team simultaneously conducts preliminary analysis and issues an anomaly report.

Day 3: Deep Analysis Completed

The manufacturer completes a detailed failure analysis, including electrical testing, physical analysis, and reliability evaluation, forming a comprehensive analysis report.

Day 4: Report Integration & Response

The FAE receives the manufacturer's analysis report, the Quality team verifies and confirms it, and then integrates all information to provide a complete solution to the client.
